Pork Tenderloin in a Slow Cooker????????

Hi. I have got two large pieces of pork tenderloin in the fridge, couldn't be bothered to do the full 'roast' this time, so was thinking, could I put it in my slow cooker tomorrow???

I have only ever cooked it in the oven, as per pack, which is fast cooking it, but is there any reason why I couldn't slow cook it?

Any help much appreciated, coz thinking about doing it tomorrow??

Xxx

I wouldn't slow cook it, but if you fancy a change, it is very quick to slice it and pan fry it

E.g like this www.bbcgoodfood.com/recipes/3941/panfried-pork-with-maple-and-mustard-sauce

I don't know why but I have never cooked pork in my slow cooker, scared of food poisoning stories maybe. Watching with interest.

Oh wow, thank you for posting that recipe, it looks yummy actually!!!!!!!
I will definitely try that.
Perhaps slow cooking might dry the pork out??

Of course you can cook it in the slow cooker. Whack some apple juice in there too!

I wouldn't cook it in a slow cooker, as you risk it tasting like damp flannel with virtually no flavour if it's cooked for too long.

I left one in a low oven for too long once, and you wouldn't have known what meat it was. Such a pity!
