Non perishable food for lunchboxes

My DD has just joined her third lunchtime club at school. They either get 10 mins before to eat (she is a slow eater so doesn't get far) or try and grab bites as they go along. At least once a week food comes back totally untouched and I'm having to throw away sandwiches, cheese, meat bites.

This week I've given her bananas, grapes, flapjacks, cereal bars, small chocolate rolls/bars/biscuits/ and crisps. Can anyone give me inspiration for food/snacks which will keep if not eaten - I can't send her to school with nothing but hate the waste. Also, would prefer healthy options than some of those listed above.

Mini packets of pretzels or popcorn,
Dore fruit salad snack packs,
Boxes of raisins

Flapjacks are a great idea because they are so dense in calories.

DC went through a phase like this when they were at primary. I just gave them small lunches and a proper snack at pick up time (like a sandwich or filled roll, frube and fruit.)

Can you encourage her to have a proper breakfast? I used to do smoothies, beans or egg on toast or bacon or sausage butties on days wen they had lunchtime clubs.

Dunkers don't need to be kept in fridge you buy them off the shelf in b&m alongside laughing cow triangles if you wanted to make your own

Thanks for your replies - it gives me some more ideas!

She already has a fair amount for breakfast (cereal the same as us plus toast) and has snacks on return, but I still want to send her with food so she has something if needed. Also, doctor says she is underweight, so I at least want to send her with something she can grab but won't be wasted if it's not used.

I would change breakfast as cereal and toast is mainly just carbs and carbs, little nutrition and little fats or protein, all which she needs if underweight. Eggs with toast would be better than cereal and toast for example.

Can she not just eat whatever you gave for lunch as snack after school?

DS never eats at lunchtime- too busy rushing off to play outside and apparently teachers only make them stay to eat if they have school dinners Hmm

I send him with cheese, bags of mini breadsticks, fruit like apples and tangerines that wont bruise easily so will keep, yoghurt covered dried fruit, flapjacks, pasta with tomato sauce, crackers with a little pot of jam or spread.

I'm happy to keep pasta and cheese and use it again though, their lunchboxes are kepylt chilled till lunchtime and I don't think there's as much risk with these things as there is with meat.
