Idea needed for special pudding!

Can anyone help?
I have a 'Supper Club' with a couple of friends, next one on Saturday and I've been allocated pudding.
As it's the host's birthday we're doing a vague theme of presents/wrapped/surprise - starter is probably a soufflé, main will be individual beef Wellingtons, and I am massively stuck for what to do for dessert...

It needs to be fairly indulgent and look good too - not asking much am I!

Maybe a layered pud, a fancy trifle? Or something with a hidden centre?

I was thinking about maybe making chocolate cups (dipped balloon method) and filling them with layers of lemon mousse and raspberry coulis?
But then that's just a random thought, and perhaps I ought to follow a tried and tested recipe...

Any suggestions appreciated! DH does most of the cooking at home as he's a Masterchef critiquing bossy boots much better cook than me, so I like getting the chance to attempt something special every now and then.
Plus we'll be drinking cocktails while cooking so the girls will probably very forgiving if I dish up a disaster. :)

Flowers thank you!

Lemon tart, Bakewell tart - Jamie's is amazing, a blood orange almond cake, treacle tart, key lime pie.
This kind of thing looks good sliced with a scented/flavoured cream or homemade ice cream/jug of real custard on the side.
Keeping it simple and focussing on flavours and good ingredients is all you need.

Hollow out oranges and fill with lemon mousse/lemon curd icecream

Serve coffee mouse/coffee ice cream in cups and saucers with little biscuits

Affogato served in pretty glasses, or frozen cocktails floating in fizz

Chocolate mousse with chilli or pink peppercorns served with lavender or thyme shortbread

Baked Alaska Pie

or a reverse baked Alaska (ice cream outside, hot jam in the middle)

This one is really easy to throw together but tastes fab and any frozen fruit with a sour edge to the taste would do!

Mary Berrys ultimate chocolate roulade (I add crushed raspberries into the cream for the middle) very easy to make, and you can make the day before if wanted and still tastes fekking amazing!

I agree that a roulade is a good idea, looks impressive but is fairly easy to make.

All these ideas sound yummy though. Grin.

How does your supper club work ? Sounds a great idea.

All of the desserts suggested would be lovely. I'd go for a roulade. But is the first course definitely going to be souffle? If it is then you have quite a lot of eggs included in the meal. Maybe a soup or different starter.

Have also thought today that you could do Pineapple Romanoff and serve it in the hollow shell of a pineapple for the Hidden part. It's quite rich so you would only need a spoon or two per serving.

Ooh that sounds interesting, thank you! ??

Sadly I didn't get to use any of these as my youngest was admitted to Hosp on Friday (nothing too serious), we should be discharged later today but Supper Club has been postponed til another time.

Thank you again everyone, I've now got some great ideas for next time! Thanks
