Recipe books on kindle

I have far too many foodie books, and am tempted to get the latest one I'm after in its kindle edition, which I could then view on my ipad or laptop. I do like recipes on paper really, and am just not sure how I could get on with following a recipe from a screen. I tend to print out online recipes that I particularly like, and I'm not sure I could do that with the kindle?
Anyone who uses ebooks for recipes got any advice? Thanks.

I sometimes use recipes on my hudl but invariably the screen times out when my hands are covered in something I don't want to put near the device.

If you view it on your ipad, you can take screenshots and print those.

Rather than printing online recipes, I screenshot them and then work from that. I don't find it a problem, other than trying not to spill food on my ipad!

Yes, it's worth turning off the setting that shuts down the screen after inactivity.

I buy all my cookbooks on kindle if possible now. It is such as space saver.

There are many things better on ebooks than physical ones.

I can read them easily in bed. I love reading cookbooks.

They are a lot cheaper most of the time.

On kindle you can return for refund with a few clicks within 10 or 14 days of purchase. (Not possible with iBookstore).

I cut and paste recipes that I want to repeat to peoperplate and meal plans with it. For physical books I have to type them out myself. This means I have all my recipes I cook often with me wherever I am. DH can also see them on his tablet to prep before I get home. He can also see what's for dinner for the week.

You can set the screen to not turn off at all on the iPad. Same on android devices. You can also stand the tablet on a cookbook stand in the kitchen to cook.

I am however a technology lover (disclaimer). I don't print out anythjng to read. I keep all my notes on google drive and Evernote. I have Dropbox. We use Google calender for the family. I don't use Blurays or CDs.

So you can imagine why I would prefer ebooks!

Thanks everyone. I think I'll give this one a try - it's cheaper and there isn't room for any more cookbooks on my shelf Smile

I have a few cookbooks on kindle and I'm not keen, it was fine for the initial read through...but I prefer to flick through a book, glance over my bookcase...see what grabs me and then sit surrounded by 4 or 5 books while I menu plan for the week, I find it more inspiring.
