What to do with 16 pints of milk??

Well, not all at once but can anyone recommend recipes using lots of milk? By mistake I ordered twice the amount of milk I normally get online. Including veggie recipes without egg would be great - not asking a lot, am I? Smile

But would welcome non veggie and eggy recipes as well. Thanks.

Freeze it?

My mum makes this microwave creme caramel. Sounds mingling but is delicious - www.food.com/recipe/microwave-creme-caramel-58476

Sorry! Missed the bit re: no egg!

SavoyCabbage · 05/03/2015 11:25

You could make macaroni and cheese and freeze it.

Or have pancakes for breakfast.

Tensmumym · 05/03/2015 11:26

Thanks very much Gobbolin. Unfortunately my freezer isn't big enough for that much milk.

Make cheese - paneer is easy.
Or make gelato - sicilian gelato traditionally uses milk and no eggs.

Or batch make white sauce for lasagne and similar?

Rice pudding ?

Iloveonionchutney · 05/03/2015 11:32

Blancmange, get everyone drinking milkshakes, could you make sauces and freeze them (may take less room)

NakedFamilyFightClub · 05/03/2015 11:33

Lots and lots of rice pudding? Proper rice pudding with nutmeg, not school dinner rice pudding.

TheRealMaryMillington · 05/03/2015 11:34

milkshakes with frozen berries and bananas
porridge
rice pudding
hot chocolates all round! hooray!
cauliflower cheese for supper
pannacotta for pudding
give some to your neighbours

alternatively just invite my mum round and it will be gone before you know it.

Tensmumym · 05/03/2015 11:44

Thanks for all your suggestions. TheReal -if your mum is in the London area she's welcome to come and have some!

Google cheese making! I have never done it, but it looks like fun.
