I'm without an oven and stuck for meal ideas!

My oven exploded last week so I'm currently cooking with hob & microwave only. I do have an air fryer which I recently brought but have so far only cooked chips in it. I'm really struggling with meal ideas for the coming week, can anyone help with ideas?

This week we've had:-
Spagetti carbonarra
curry & rice
Spag bol (will do chilli next week)
fajitas

What else can I cook????

Stir fry

Risotto
Stirfry
Pasta and sauce
Soup
Fish/cold meat and salad

I rarely use the oven, these are the sort of things I make.

Cous cous and tagine (hob top or slow cooker if you have one).

Omelette
Toasted sandwiches (in a frying pan)
Paella
Lots of varieties of veg and pasta and cheese.

This is yummy and easy to make. I leave out the ham and put chunks of chorizo in instead.

Can you get a slow cooker? They are quite cheap, I got mine for £20, and you can do whole joints of meat in them.

Should have mentioned I have a fussy teenage daughter which doesn't help! Won't eat fish or eggs.

I don't have a slow cooker.

Any idea how I can cook garlic bread? Would the sliced stuff toast in a frying pan without oil?

Netball Hoop - the chicken doesn't seem to cook for very long in that recipe?!?!?! Brown it and then cook it for 5 mins? Shouldn't it need much longer than that?

Also what do you serve it with?

Ignore me about the chicken - just re-read the cook for 1 hour bit! Blush

You're missing the hour's simmering after the 5 minutes

Add the jamón and browned chicken pieces, as well as any juices that have collected, and cook for 5 more minutes. Stir in the pimentón, tomato sauce, rosemary, bay leaf and the water and simmer over low heat for 1 hour or until the meat starts to fall off the bone. Season to taste with salt before serving.

I'd serve something like that with brown rice or mash.

A hot frying pan or griddle should be fine for the garlic bread.

This was me a few weeks ago, thank goodness for YouTube videos which explained how to replace the heating element!

For garlic bread I would fry some crushed garlic in butter and then spread it on toast.

We ate most of what has been mentioned also green thai curry with noodles, fried chicken, mashed potatoes and veg. You could also make quesadillas, casserole, soup.
