Minimal prep dinners for adults and child

I'm stuck! DH makes dinner weekday eves but is not a cook and won't do anything that involves anything more complicated than chopping a few bits of veg and heating things up. He doesn't like eggs or baked potatoes. DD (4) doesn't like pizza, prawns, anything spicy and is a bit funny about stir-fries. I am sick to death of risotto, sausages or pasta with jars of sauce!
Unfortunately, I don't have time at the weekend to prepare batches of things for him to re-heat. Suggestions for easy prep., kid-friendly dinners very gratefully received, thank you!

How about Chicken Kebabs?

Cut chicken, onions and peppers into pieces about 3cm square and pop in a bowl with some olive oil, seasoning and a few herbs. Stir to combine then thread onto skewers. Grill, turning occasionally until cooked through and browned at the edges. Serve with salad, rice and mayonnaise

Yum, chicken kebabs! I'd add some halloumi done in a griddle pan to go with it...

Wraps.
Are you on a tight budget? If not then I suggest healthy but convenient food from M&S. E.g. Chicken with topping on (such as ham and cheese) serve with fresh veg (you mention Dh will do veggies) and microwave rice/home made wedges or some sort of potato.
Soup is very quick to make (or buy a decent carton) serve with sandwiches, garlic bread, cheese on toast.

Fish (fingers) and oven chips would be fine one night, I'd say, with some veg/salad they like.

Thanks for those suggestions. Kebabs are a FAB idea, though I'll need to think of something apart from peppers or mushrooms to skewer as they are both on DD's "no" list. I forgot about wraps - we do make them sometimes, with tons of soured cream/may as even BBQ sauce is too spicy for DD! Bound to be more to wraps than chicken...

And M&S - oh, I dream of M&S! But I'm nowhere near one.

Any more ideas?!!
