Zero mess toddler snacks

Hi all

Just wondering if anyone can suggest any homemade toddler snacks that don't create mess if eaten on the go?

My 14 month old is getting bored of Organix rice cakes and plain breadsticks and I am very reluctant to offer her Organix carrot puffs or similar as I think they are too similar to crisps. I accidentally bought some Ella's multigrain crisp type things the other day thinking from the description that they were plain crackers and she wolfed them down but I don't want her getting used to processed snacks.

I think zero mess and toddler is a contradiction in terms.

Oops posted too soon.

Often I do blueberries or grape halves in a tub but yesterday she squelched them all over her coat which wasn't great! Did bagel with cream cheese today and she looked like she was wearing white face paint! Any clean, healthy ideas that I can chuck in the changing bag?

How about real food?

Cheese batons
Fruit
Carrot sticks
Salami or ham/chicken pieces
Hot cross bun toasted cold or toast

Sorry pressed post too soon.

Satsumas, cubes of cheese, chopped cucumber any good?

My staple 'not too messy snacks' for ds are raisins, little cubes of cheese, pitta bread, cold pasta shells and cheerios (not homemade but useful!)

I must agree it's part of being a toddler, out or in, unless you go intravenous - although I'm not on pfb so have let go of all my standards!

A whole apple to gnaw on is pretty low mess (and what there is is not coloured). Similarly a hard pear or large carrot.

Nairn cheese oatcakes are nice, and as a toddler ds was very fond of a tub with an assortment of dry cereal (shreddies, cheerios, mini shredded wheat with apricot in, puffed wheat) and some bits of dried fruit. It kept him happy for ages rootling through it.

Dried mango and raisins always go down well here. Cubes of cheese with some grape halves.

My dd loves those breakfast biscuits so she has those sometimes when were out and about.

Ooh some great ideas here thanks! She's funny with cheese cubes- loves them one week and spits them out the next but am interested in the idea of dried cereal, toast, pitta etc

I do let her make a complete mess in the highchair for her three meals flinging rice etc all over the place but just can't handle cleaning so much mess 5x a day!!!
