I should probably namechange for this one ...

Ok, DH and I recently shared a bottle of rose that I quite liked. It was Australian, and called Mrs Wigley (!!).

We also like Rose d'Anjou. So we like sweet mild boring rose, basically.

I am looking at the Rose on offer at Waitrose. I would rather have something in a box or screwtop, to make it easier to use it for more than one night. (As the title says, probably should namechange ...)

They have Kumala Rose in a box. Is it any good? (Or rather, is it the sort of rubbish plonk I'm after?) They also have a Gallo White Grenache - is that going to be more of a blush wine?

Any tips or suggestions? It's easiest if I can get it from Ocado, because I am lazy ...

I had a bottle of this recently ansd I thought it was nice. Usually prefer red.

The Kumala that is. Should think the Ernest Gallo one is ok too.

I love the Gallo White Greenache but don't drink any other wine so not sure how it compares.
Am more of a vodka girl.

mmmmm, i love rose. only wine i drink.

no idea about boxes though.... never even seen a winebox over here!

The White Grenache is more of a blush - so a tad fruitier and drier than most Rose, but only a tad - but it is fabulous, and such a lovely pink!

CrocodileKate · 11/10/2006 21:16

Oh it is very pretty isn't it!

NotQuiteCockney · 11/10/2006 21:26

Hmm, I'm aiming for "drinkable" more than "pretty", so will try the Kumala. Box wine is v practical for lightweights like DH and I, as that way we can have one glass each per night for ages from one box.
