I have 2 dc, overweight dh and a baby on the way.

I have time to cook better than I do. No allergies... And yet I just cook the same old stuff. Pasta bake, risotto, baked potatoes.

Not enough fresh stuff, fruit, veg.

Any suggestions welcome thank you Smile

i think it depends on what you like to eat,we all love jamie olivers recipes here, they never fail, that includes the kids.Nigellas kitchen is good,we have the chorizo and beef chilli and the fajitas from there regularly.

Ive seen a lot of people mentioning the ministry book by JO,and i have to say its the only one i havnt found very good, i imagine its ok if you really have no clue how to cook, the recipes are very boring but i guess its aimed at people who dont know how to cook.

I also have the jack monroe book but i find her recipes need adjusting as they are very bland.

I really want the nigella cookbook now! I really like the slimming world cook books, they're useful and mainly cooking from scratch. I also mainly use two blogs, Kayotic Kitchen (www.kayotic.nl/blog/) I love her posts, she really taught me how to use spices well and she's Dutch, so most of the time we can get the things she uses, and she likes to make her own when she can. I also love Ree Drummond (thepioneerwoman.com) I love her posts, she makes me laugh and whenever I've cooked something from her blog my mother always goes 'Ree hasn't steered you wrong yet!'. Her recipes do sometimes leave a little to desire health wise, she loves her butter and cream!
