Hi I want to make some jars with cookie mix in to sell at our schools christmas fayre, however all the recipes on the net are american and I'm rubbish at converting cups to oz or gs. DOe anyone have a recipe that I can use that is in either metric or llbs and ozs?

1 cup = 8 oz or 250ml. Hope this helps. Or point me at the recipe you want to follow and I can translate it for you.

I like www.allrecipes.com for these sorts of things, as you can read reviews from other users of a recipe ... but everything is in American.

The brownie mix has no baking soda or baking powder in it, so I'd be dubious about it working, tbh. Is this one at all tempting?

And do you want me to translate a 1-jar recipe? Or the 8-jar ones?

I was a bit dubious about the brownie mix one maybe I will go for the M&M one. 1 jar would be great I can muliply up if I need to!

Ok, I'm using fluid oz here, not weight oz, so you need to use a measuring cup, not scales ...

1-jar M+M recipe:

  • 10 oz sugar
  • 10 oz M+Ms
  • 16 oz regular flour
  • 1/2 tsp bicarb of soda
  • 1/2 tsp baking soda
