Please help rescue this beef curry - slow cooked too long and resembles soup

I have made a curry for 10 guests tomorrow evening. I left the curry in the slow cooker too long and the meat has fallen to bits. It tastes great but resembles soup. Can I cook and add more meat to it or will that just be weird? Would adding potatoes be better? if so, when should I add them? I don't want to cook it for any longer apart form heating it through for 30 mints.

Sounds like it will be delicious though Kiss - nothing better than slow cooked meat! I think adding more meat would be weird in the extreme, but why not boil off a bit of the liquid to make it less soup-like? Chunks of potato, or squash, might help with the texture. If potatoes you could steam them first and then add for the reheating, or if squash maybe roast (so as to avoid introducing more liquid) and then add for the reheating?

I thought adding meat might not work too well! Squash is a good idea, a butternut squash would work wouldn't it? How do I steam potatoes , could I par-boil instead?

yes, butternut squash I think would be good. And yes, par-boiling for the potatoes would be fine I think (I don't really do steaming either, but it always sounds so good...!)

Yes, you sounded like a very experienced cook when you mentioned steaming!

Make it into a pilaff/ biriani sort of thing by simmering it longer with rice to absorb the fluid.

Fry rice in a little oil till translucent then add the curry and cook very gently
