I sometimes have those Eat Natural bars, or a GF oaty bar (sorry I can't remember the brand). Do you have a fridge at work so you could have a bowl of cereal?

I think my breakfasts are often too carby/sugary but I can never think of any protein foods that are good on the go.

DH has those EatNatural bars which seem to fill him up which is good but I am not sure how healthy they are.

Justgotosleepnow · 19/10/2014 22:10

You could make pancakes with gf free flour

ouryve · 19/10/2014 22:12

A nine bar. They're quite sweet, but full of seeds, so quite filling and protein rich.

Duckstar · 19/10/2014 22:13

Nairns do gluten free breakfast biscuits.

IDismyname · 19/10/2014 22:15

Egg on GF toast?

ParadisePhantom · 19/10/2014 22:16

Nakd do a range of gluten free bars made from raw fruit and nut

Lookslikerain · 19/10/2014 22:19

Do you like frittata? Could be reheated if you have a microwave or eat cold. You could fill with different veg, cheese, meat. Really anything goes into frittata in this house!

Or yoghurt with some fruit, seeds, nuts to add at work.

Or a continental type packed breakfast, like hard boiled egg, cold meat, tomatoes, cheese etc.

My DH prefers to eat low carb so we've become quite good at this.

Lookslikerain · 19/10/2014 22:21

Sorry, I'm assuming by no preparation you mean make earlier and just lift out the fridge before you leave. If not, ignore my post. Smile

Wineorcider · 19/10/2014 22:22

Aw thanks for your replies! We don't have much at work for cooking, apart from a microwave, so it needs to be really simple Smile plus I get there very early (and half asleep), so don't want to burn the place down Grin
Will have a look at the breakfast bars and cereals.

I can do some of it at home, like the bottomless quiches. They sound good Smile Hope the recipe is easy!

I use gf oats to make bircher muesli. You can make a batch to keep in the fridge and pop a portion in a pot with extra fruit/yoghurt. Lasts for a couple of days in the fridge.

Wineorcider · 19/10/2014 22:26

Ooh, yes, I have a Spanish omelette/frittata recipe I like that I've not done for ages! Thanks for that, I'll make a big one on a Sunday night to last a couple of days. Thanks all Smile

This is delicious, and keeps well ( not that it gets the chance!) recipesfrom4everykitchen.blogspot.co.uk/2008/11/nigellas-cranberry-almond-honey-granola.html

Clairejessica123 · 21/10/2014 10:41

I make muffins from eggs cheese bacon etc and reheat. They freeze really well or keep the fridge for about 4 days. There are also loss of recipes online for gf carrot muffins etc that I bake and freeze and just take out the night before.

smoothieooo · 23/10/2014 16:42

I make gf fruit muffins - same recipe as normal muffins but made with Doves Farm gf sr flour.

In my desk drawer, I always have a pack of 9Bar mixed seed snack bars and a pack of brazil nuts, plus I keep some Nestle gluten free Cornflakes in the cupboard (the honey ones are delish)!
