So bored of the usual meals, usually end up making a meal for dh and I plus a meal for the dds. What good ideas do you have to suit everyone?

Things we all eat (Me, DH, DD1 who is 4 and DD2 who is 7 months)

Spag bol
meatballs
sausage and mash or toad in the hole with veg
fajitas
lasagne
mexican lasagne (more like chilli layered between wraps and baked)
mild thai green curry
mild butter chicken curry
fish with pesto crust
risotto (various flavours inc ham, mushroom or blue cheese)
fish and chips
roast with veg
chicken and autumn veg pie
beef and ale pie
beef stew & polenta
pizza
special (whatever is in the fridge) fried rice
chilli & rice
prawns & noodles (with stir fry veg)
crispy duck pancakes
satay chicken
ham or gammon egg and chips
jacket potato with various fillings (must be hearty, or DH says it is not a proper meal)
pasta with pesto, ragu, tomato sauce, anchovy sauce, etc
stuffed chicken breasts (with garlic butter, cheese, cheese and ham, whatever) and veg.

I find DH will add chilli (fresh chopped) to the meals he would like to be spicier, and I make sure I choose veg the little ones like (broccoli and carrots). I throw something new in every now and then to see if they will allow me to add something to the list, which is quite mundane, but they don't like things with white or cheese sauces, or which have anything too spicy which limits things a bit. They also dislike the texture of pulses in the main (with the exception of baked beans, obviously) and wont eat salad other than cucumber and peppers.

I doubt there is anything there you have not already tried though!

Only things extra to the list above that we like are:
Spanish omelette
Shepards pie
Savoury pancakes
Yorkshire puds filled with stew or even baked beans and cheese
Pittas split and spread with Tom sauce and get kids to add fillings ( tinned tuna, grated cheese, chopped spring onion) and grill for pretend pizzas
Chicken of beef loaf

DH happily eats all these. About once every 3 or 4 weeks I cook a mild curry for the kids and a spicier one in a different pan for DH and me. Most of the ingredients are the same so it's not too much effort.

Struggling to find much to add

Fish and chips
macaroni cheese
Chicken drumsticks with savoury rice
Lamb steaks with home made wedges and baked tomatoes
Omelettes
A sort off noodle soup which is mainly a pile of noodles in a chicken stock with spices and soy sauce and with chunks of grilled chicken chucked in.
Stovies
Haggis, tatties and neeps
Chicken and Chorizo jambalaya

I have dds 7, 6, 4 and 2. Increasingly they are getting fussy, and liking different things (I don't like tomatoes cooked with meat, WTF, that is every meal; I don't like green veg - ???)

They only meal they all agree on is tacos. I put a stack of veg in them, chopped down in the magimix. I put them in pita bread and we make our own. I do some of the ideas above, and will also bank some for future reference Grin

Some more veggie ideas:

Big pan of roasted veg with quinoa
Roast aubergine pasta
Pasta bakes full of veg and cheese
Ratatouille (delicious with baked potatoes and sausages, meat or veggie)
Chunky soups - lentil, potato and carrot is brilliant, add some bacon if you want to
Veggie stir fries with tofu
Broccoli and cauliflower cheese (nice with some broad beans in it)
Chilli made with a mix of kidney and black beans
Shepherd's pie made with green lentils instead of meat

Fish:
kedgeree (rice with smoked haddock and peas - yummy)
Baked salmon with new potatoes and steamed green veg
Fish pie

Staples in our house:

Spaghetti and meatballs (I use Nigella's cheat's meatball recipe using good quality sausages for the meat. Her sauce is really simple and delicious, too. Can use the meatballs/sauce for a pasta bake instead, too)

Spaghetti carbonara

Pesto pasta bake (pesto, pasta, fresh chopped tomatoes, mozzarella balls, fresh basil - top with grated cheddar/mozzarella mix and wack in oven)

Chorizo pasta bake

Chicken and roasted veg pasta bake

Chicken pie (use ready prepared pastry for time saving)

Teriyaki salmon or chicken with noodles and stirfried veg or egg fried rice

Jamaican stew chicken (google Levi Roots recipe and omit the scotch bonnet if your kids dont like spice)

Thai red/green curry

Various Indian curries - chicken, potato & cauliflower, lentil, chickpea

Chickpea tagine or chicken/lamb tagine and cous cous

Barbecued spatchcock chicken

Kebabs and rice/salad
