What do you store your cakes in?

I need something that will keep them fresh but that I can slice and serve from too. At the moment, I have lovely glass cake platters which are great for serving but crap for storage.
I also have cake tins which are great for storage (and look fab) but you can't slice in them.

I've seen those plastic (tupperware type) things which are a plastic bottom with a see-through plastic dome on top but I think they are hideous.

Is there any other option? I need round containers in 20cm and 26cm.

What happens if you use the cake tin upside down?
So cake on a board which is deeper than the lid.
Then put board and cake in lid, and tin "bottom" over the top to seal it all.

Ah, that is a good idea about the cake board - I've always been bothered about the cake sitting inside the lid which means you can't cut it properly.

I've seen exactly what I want actually, but they only seem to be available in the USA (and most are vintage): these are perfect
