Must admit that was the first thought I had when I read the thread title! Otherwise how about pitta packet and empty hummus pot?

GreenLumpyTonsils · 25/09/2006 14:30

Oh definitely a banana skin, that would be hilarious.

waterfalls · 25/09/2006 14:32

lol at the banana skin, i think you should send one in, surely anything that comes in a wrapper (healthy or not) is a convienence food, so full of preservatives.

nailpolish · 25/09/2006 14:35

EXACTLY waterfalls

i honestly cant think of anything healthy, that is considered a 'snack' that also comes in a wrapper

maybe a yoghurt pot, or a small bag that had raisins or nuts in it?

Maybe the tinfoil you store homemade cake in? Or the little pot that had nuts or dried fruit in it?

lemonaid · 25/09/2006 14:35

Probably the orange peel. The banana skin would go all slimy and yuck, which isn't nice for DD1.

Or how about some earth?

nailpolish · 25/09/2006 14:36

i think they are going ot make a big collage or something on the wall with all the wrappers

wonder how many will take in cheesestring wrappers

brown paper bag from the greengrocer?

waterfalls · 25/09/2006 14:40

Would love to see that finished product, there is bound to be some parent that send them in with a crisp packet

Clary · 25/09/2006 14:41

Hah! naily that's what I thought when I read thread title.
Yes, send in a banana skin or carrot peelings lol.
I suppose you could send the celophane from a pack of cherry toms

PeachyClairHasBadHair · 25/09/2006 14:41

cheese packet then, or a raisin box, or the pack from baby sweetcorn... lots of options but agreet hat the most simple would be fruit peel (shall i send you an old riverford organic fruit box ? LOL)

nailpolish · 25/09/2006 14:42

she also has to take in one fruit or veg to talk about with her group and for them all to taste

OP posts:
nailpolish · 25/09/2006 14:44

its so hard! dd1 herself has suggested the string bag her oranges are in

OP posts:
NomDePlume · 25/09/2006 14:44

string bag is a good idea.

nailpolish · 25/09/2006 14:44

Yep a banana skin or other fruit peeling would be good. Not all packaged foor has preservatives or junk in it though, I found some pouches of pure fruit and veg babyfood today and impulse bought the broccoli, pea and pear one and gave it to my 3 yr old after nursery and he slurped it down!!! (and I promise, there is nothing in it but those three ingredients). It was like a veggie smoothie.

EmmyLou · 25/09/2006 15:02

You could be on to something there: re-marketed baby food as veggie smoothies...
