Did anyone hear about the Tescos and Tyrells crisps story last week? click the video link on the right

Wouldn;t but from Tescos - hate them with avengance - but buy waitrose and have bought their organic box - is that as bad - thought they were nice to farmers????

ok, just tried finding fenland orgnaic, and they're not listed as a co. that delivers boxes on the links listed her.

just to be controversial - i know that tesco make as much money as possible, but there is NOWHERE else that i can buy food from in the evenings here, all other stores, even the spar at the garage, shuts at 9 pm, and i need to be able to shop after dd goes to bed. if other stores had longer hours, even just once a week, or would take an order that i could just pick up, life would be so much easier. i don't like big conglomerates taking over, but part of their success is that they deliver what the customer wants.

The new site that i've read about on river cottage and tescopoly(as mentioned earlier) websites that seems to promote the local producer against the supermarket is vegboxschemes.co.uk

It claims to only have been around for a week and based on user recommendations but it does seem very comprehensive. I found 3 schemes i'd never heard of within 15 miles of where I live.

Wow, I have actually had my mind changed by a thread!

I started off thinking yeah probably, why not...

But now I am think NO, and stick to supporting the local, and reducing food miles

Thanks MN-ers!!
