Anything soft and chip shaped really - soft fruit, bananas, maybe strawberries/raspberries if he can pick them up? Roast veg, broccoli, pasta shapes like fusilli or penne. He could probably manage fish fingers, strips of chicken, meatballs, fish cakes. If you make rice sticky he might be able to pic k that up too.

I wouldn't give him juice if you can avoid it, it's really not good for them. Have you tried milk instead of snacks? Under 12 months they should be having at least 500ml of formula a day or you'll need to give him a vitamin supplement.

Hi thanks for your reply. Thats really helpful regarding food etc. But his milk in the day ive tried everything.. warm, cold, even put some milkshake mix in to make it taste different but nope completely refuses it. And if I didnt give him juice he would drink anything. He wont drink water. Doctor told me its ok :/
Do u think I need to see the doctor about how to get him his vitamins intp him x

Anything. Literally anything you have is fine as long as it's not full of salt, whole nuts or honey. Have a look at some of the baby led weaning sites, even if you don't want to do 100% baby led, you'll get some great ideas.

My 8 month old had meatballs and pasta yesterday, tonight he had a mini flan. Home made pizzas always go down well, eggs in any form - boiled, omelette etc, jacket potato cut into chunks, fish fingers, fish cakes. He loves soft meat as well like braised steak or slow cooked stews. He even had one with bits of chilli in it and loved it.

For snacks we do sticks of cheese, bread sticks, rice cakes, fruit and veg sticks, toast.

You can get baby vitamin supplements in liquid form that you can either give off a spoon or mix in with yoghurt or fruit puree.

This woman should pay for the amount of traffic I direct to her site, as I'm forever recommending it, but Little Grazers has really good recipes.

I bought one of these chip crinkle thingies and cut their fruit in this shape.

Also I make LOADS of savoury recipes in mini muffin pans as it's just the right size for holding.

Both DC loved selection of "tapas" on the highchair all cut in strips.

Forgot to say, another advantage of cooking things in a muffin pan is that you can freeze a huge batch, defrost one or two portions in the morning and it will be ready to heat/eat at lunchtime.
