Hi do you use soya because of lactose intolerance or because of milk proteins? Only ask because there is new milk out called Lactofree which is semi skimmed with lactase enzyme. So might work better in cooking. They have a website: www.lactofree.co.uk. I found it in a big tesco and my mum's local morrisons has it. hth.

Alibobble - I have never heard of this. Interesting

Its just that we have visitors and one of them is milk intolerant - She says its not too serious so I assume not a full blown allergy.
As it was she didn't come home for dinner that night so I didn't try the yorkshire pudding.

Is great stuff. Have been on soya milk for ages but this stuff is actual milk! Once opened it goes off much quicker but at least it goes in coffee unlike soya which splits.

Should you still be interested, yes I think you can. YP is very like pancakes in terms of the batter, and you can make pancakes with soya milk no problem.

Typically there are 2 things you can't do with soya milk: make any dish where milk is the principal ingredient (eg custard). It will work but may taste v odd. And boil it. So if you put soya milk or cream into a sauce, you add it at the end because if you put it in at the beginning it separates.
