Breakfast ideas for refluxy 11mo please?

My DS has reflux and we find he has a much less pukey day if he has a 'solid breakfast' - like toast or Omelette as opposed to weetabix or porridge.

Needs to be pretty quick to make as he doesn't have a bottle beforehand (for same reason) and will get a bit cross if he's waiting ages.

Any ideas appreciated as I'm in a rut of toast and fruit or eggs and beans!

It's the same here with my 10 month old ds but we have identified the issue is cows milk.

So dry cereal (those plain cheerios/unsweetened rice pops) and fruit work.

I discovered yesterday he likes marmite. Also oatcakes.

Thanks for replying. I'd be worried my DS would struggle with dry cereal like that, he's an.impatient chewer and would try to swallow them whole! Also is Marmite not too salty?

My dd had reflux too and we found solid food and water much better than milky things generally.

Not sure if yogurt counts as solid enough, but a mound of plain yogurt surrounded by fruit and a drizzle of honey over is a favourite for my two. Yogurt was never a problem for dd, but all kids differ. And cheese on toast always gets eaten up. Pancakes are fun, can be savoury as well as sweet.

Sometimes I give leftovers for breakfast, my dd loves chicken curry at 7 am! At least it gets some extra veg into her.

And I have resorted to cheese cubes, veg sticks and toasted pitta bread.

Not really breakfasts but it gets eaten.

Sorry, but ignore idea of honey until your DS is over 1, I'm sure toddlers shouldn't have honey until they are over 1, though not sure exactly why.

Yoghurt is no good I'm afraid - not so bad if given after a main meal but on its own would result in a vomfest.

We did banana pancakes today, spread with a little fruit puree and some chopped grapes on the side. So far so good :)

Rice pops are like non sweet rice crispies. They don't really require much if any chewing.

It was scrambled eggs and oat cakes here this morning. Lots on the floor but some eaten.

I wouldn't give marmite every day but rotate it with other savoury flavours like peanut butter/mashed avocado. It's really tricky when my go to topping is cheese or cream cheese!

We're fine with cheese and cream cheese, I'd just prefer not to give toast every day. Might have to think outside the box and not just limit to 'breakfast foods'.

My 8 month old eats a lot of eggs!

hard boiled eggs
scrambled eggs
omelette
fritatta

hard boiled eggs and fritatta are both very good as they can be prepared in advance and brought out of the fridge. I used cooked new potatoes in the fritatta as well so it doesn't even need toast.
