Help me plan some meals

It's Monday night and I'm off to the chippy after tiring myself out with baby and toddler all day. I'm a sahm with a 2.9 and 7mo...they both eat really nice home cooked meals and by the time DH comes home we look at one another and reach for the takeaway menus. We both want to start eating better but I can't get the headspace to plan a weeks worth of things we can all eat!! DH is wheat free so things like lasagnes / pasta bakes won't work. Toddler generally eats everything and baby will need to eat a puréed portion of whatever i make.
Help! Suggestions please...Confused

At the risk of sounding like I work here....mumsnet cookery book. I bought it and the meals are so straightforward. For the first time ever I have managed 4 weeks of planning (weekly not one month). I have tried before but have never completed a week before AND I am saving money. The soups are delicious. The spicy rice dish is a favourite. Really recommend it.

Here's a few of my dinners from my year-long food diary - no wheat involved :)

Prawn and avocado salad
Poached salmon salad with home made Hollandaise or mayo
Shepherd's pie and peas
Fish pie with a cheesy potato topping, baked beans
Home made burgers, portobello mushrooms instead of bread buns
Chicken and mushroom risotto
Chicken, prawn, and chorizo paella
Pork stir fry with beansprouts
Pork and paprika meatballs, sour cream and chive dressing, lettuce
Aubergine Parmigiana
Crustless (smoked) salmon and broccoli quiche
Chicken curry and rice
Minced beef, mushroom, and pea curry with rice
Cod (or other white fish) veronique, new potatoes, watercress
Moussaka made with a cream, egg and Parmesan topping (no flour)
Baked potato, tuna, and salad
Chicken tikka pieces with a cucumber raita and salad
Sheekh kebabs ditto

Risottos are very family friendly, and don't entail too much washing up. Our favourites are butternut squash, fennel, or spinach. Dh and I love beetroot & goats cheese risotto too, the dc not so much.
Carrot and lentil soup is one of my favourite easy family dinners, I cook a huge potful and it does several dinners, very freezeable.

I now want to buy the mumsnet cookbook, I never the mastered meal planning thing.

If planning a weeks worth of meals is daunting, try planning for the next 2 or 3 days. Something like Korma, Cottage pie and roasted squash risotto Smile
