Avoiding bread...what instead??

I find that bread often gives me a bloated - and painful - stomach so am trying to avoid it. Simple as it sounds: what do I eat for lunches instead??? I would usually have a sandwich or a wrap, I'm at home so can cook but don't really want to have to labour over something in the middle of the day (and then again at night). Any suggestions??

Use a lettuce leaf to make a wrap with your usual sandwich ingredients. Or chop them all up and make a salad with them?

I get bags of prepared veg that you can just pierce and put in microwave for 3mins, then add butter and seasoning and some grated cheese yum

Soups, small versions of your evening meals portioned in the freezer so its a blitz in the microwave job.

I'm going through a phase of jacket potato with cottage cheese and chopped salad stuff like spring onion/ radish/ cucumber/ tomato.

I also like instant noodles with a handful of stir fry mix and a handful of ready cooked chicken bits.

Birds Eye potato waffles are gluten free, and really quick in the toaster (thank you mumsnet). I usually take oatcakes and some slices of cheddar if I'm at work, with maybe some cucumber / carrot sticks.

I can't eat wheat, corn or rice (this is fairly new after being unwell due to my diet before i realised why) but have oat cakes a lot. I actually think i'm eating better without bread as I somehow eat more veg, eggs, yoghurt, new potatoes, cheese, boiled eggs...

Cous cous is wheat, so might not be the best idea if you're already avoiding bread.

I just eat the things I would normally eat with bread - without. Occasionally I buy a GF loaf and have toast, but that's a treat. Sometimes I have oatcakes, but I find them a bit dry.

Rice cakes at good for open sandwiches.

Make more food at the evening meal and eat leftovers - very quick and easy.
Salads - wash a lettuce, spin and empty water out - leave in the salad spinner, then just build a salad everyday, takes 5 mins.
