Can you freeze hummous?

Just made some home-made low fat hummous as trying to do the low GI thing and lose some weight (got recipe in a low GI cookbook). I've got so much though, I'll never eat it all! It's made with 1/2 fat creme fraiche instead of olive oil and I spose that will freeze - or will it all ruin if I freeze it?

I put it in chicken wraps today but not too sure what else I can do with it as I'm not really a hummous fan. Willing to try some new things though. Spose should do pitta bread and veggie sticks, but it's such a faff chopping everything up at lunchtime! Any ideas for something quick to do with it for lunch (not too fattening)?

yes, it will freeze.

my favourite snack is a toasted pitta with hummus and a bit of lettuce (sod chopping things up!) not really a full lunch but you could follow it with a pile of fruit or something.

muct buy some tahini.

Hah! How totally weird... i just read this and thought 'when did i post that?' have been meaning to ask about it for weeks as dd loves hummous but it goes off so quickly. thanks Distracted and Senora. (also, congratulations SP on the birth of your latest child.)

Thanks, will definitely scoop some out now and put in the freezer for another time.

Any other lunch ideas welcome. Might try filling a toasted pitta with hoummous & salad, thanks SP, like you say could have a huge bowl of fruit after with some yoghurt.
