You just need milk and an ordinary plain yoghurt, that's all! If you do a search on Mumsnet for yoghurt, you'll find some threads about making your own. Hth.

mummytojames - you need about 2 tsp of live yoghurt to start it off, plus a litre of milk (UHT milk is easiest). If you are making it regularly you can use a spoonful of your last batch to start of the next batch iyswim. I bought a yoghurt maker a couple of months ago - all suedonim's fault (Big thank you Sue!) Since then I've made 5-7 litres of the stuff every week, and have transformed my boys' calcium intake.

Roisin's explained it for me, Mum2J. I'd nipped off to watch Gunpowder, Treason & Plot!
