Can I make scones with these?

I have a kenwood mixer with a blender attachment and a dough hook.

I want to make scones and I'm chuffing lazy I hate making the butter and flour mix. Can I use either of these to mix them?

Or do I needto pull my finger out and just get on with it? Grin

Thanks.

Have you got a beater called a k beater? That's what I use for baking. Cakes, pastry, etc.

Dough hook for bread dough, blender for soups and smoothies.

Am sure dough hook would kind of work though.

I think the dough hook wood be a bit of an overkill really. Scones need a lighter touch. Try grating the hard butter into the flour and then rubbing it in. Takes no time at all that way.then add your milk and combine with a knife.

I like the grated butter idea, thanks.
Just wasn't sure if I could 'blend' it before doing the rest by hand?!
See, lazy! Grin

You can do it in a food processor if you have one, with the usual blade. Much easier, I'm way too lazy to rub in by hand too.
