Recipe to use up boozy dried fruit?

Hello!
I was given a lovely Christmas gift of some dried fruit soaked in booze (sherry?). I haven't used it up and before I ditch the jar (which is -ahem - over a year old now) I wondered if there was anything I could cook with it?
Not fruitcake. I know I am a philistine, but I don't like fruitcake. But is there anything else? Grateful for any ideas!

A variation on rum n raisin ice cream?

A kind of cross between a Lady Baltimore Cake and a Sicilian Cassatta.
I make a two or three tier sponge cake then spread the layers with whipped cream sweetened with icing sugar and vanilla then stir in the fruit, draining off the liquid.

Yum. A little finely grated lemon peel in the sponge is delicious too.

Forgot to add that you can use the liquid in the jar as a 'soak'. Get a pastry brush and brush the baked layers of cake with the liquid. Then layer on the fruit and cream. Makes a kind of cake Tiramisu/Lady Baltimore/Cassatta.

Ooooh, this sounds fab, thank you! Mignonette - do you mean you would spread the sponge layers w cream mixed w the fruit? I was confused by 'stir in' - not sure if am stirring into cake mix or cream mix. It all sounds delicious, in any case :)

In fact, reading yr second reply properly makes that pretty clear! Sorry to be dense. That's my next baking activity lined up. Guess I'll have to finish off yesterday's lemon drizzle first. Oh well...

if you have used up the fruit and there is still some of the boozy liquid left, don't throw it, just decant it into a smaller bottle and keep it for trifles etc. It'll be fine for ages.

Stir the fruit into the cream Gus. Or you could scatter on top of the cream filling.

Layer it with Greek yogurt and toasted oats or bits of granola. Yum
