How do you make toddler friendly gravy?

Is it ok to use granules? He had sausage, mash, peas and gravy in a restaurant the other day from the kids menu and loved it. So how do I do the gravy?

You can get low-salt granules if that's what you're worried about. But my DS loves normal Bisto - he doesn't have much really so I think it's OK.

What do you mean by toddler friendly?

I've never made different gravy for DS. He just has what everyone else has.

I wondered this the other day so looking forward to any answers. I was thinking about salt levels, and also that you don't necessarily want to be faffing too much for what is a very small amount.

Kallo very low salt veg stock cubes or low salt chicken are you friend!

AtSea1979 · 05/04/2014 14:30

Plenty of low salt gravy available

stella69x · 05/04/2014 21:10

Juices from the roast, cornflour and home made stock if wanting a low/no salt gravy

EverySoddingNameIsTaken · 05/04/2014 21:12

What Stella said. Bistos list of ingredients is rediculous. When DS was younger though, toddler years - he would settle for just a Kallo stockcube

Woodenheart · 05/04/2014 21:13

Kallo stockcube - Asda do them.

EverySoddingNameIsTaken · 05/04/2014 21:20

You can also get vegetable bullion which you just mix with hot water like granules

sharond101 · 05/04/2014 22:47

How do you thicken the kallo?

Cornflour

Cook sausages in a tray in oven. Use juices from the sausages with a little cornflour and herbs
