And what were the results?

Mine have been -

  1. Broccoli stalks. Never cooked just the stalks before, normally have florets. They were nice, but I think next time I will peel them as the outside was a bit woody. Will probably do again, just because it saves money.

  2. Focaccia. Unbelievably easy and tasty, will definitely make again. Especially as I could do most of the kneading in the food processor.

  3. Marmalade loaf cake with orange icing. Heaven.

I made this delicious brocolli recipe for DH and I the other night. It was really good. Had it on the side of some lamb. I will never boil/steam brocolli again. We ate a full head of brocolli between us. Blush

Karen. I love the smoked mackerel dip. I spike it slightly with a squiz of lemon juice and a teaspoon of ready made horseradish.

Lookalike rain - that broccoli dish is great with some chilli too and isn't to shabby when mixed up with a shell shaped pasta.

I made this Delia recipe for a sausage and cider casserole with fried apples. Motivated by the fact I am trying to empty the freezer, and I had sausages and half a bottle of cider in there that needed using.

It turned out very nicely, the cider I used wasn't dry as specified though, so it was a little on the sweet side but overall very good, and the apples were a nice touch.

remus - love the sound of your pie. Would you add it to our recipe section to share it with everyone else?
