bicarb of soda all the way.

Slice of dry bread, absorbs the odours too and cut lime to freshen.

You can mix bicarb with lemon juice and water to make a spray that will help. To clean surfaces you can make a paste with bicarb and a little water which you plaster onto your surfaces, scrub in, leave for a while then wash off.

Bicarb of soda got rid of the smell of Abroath smokies. Those are pretty powerful, too.

I buy it by the 5L drum from a soap making supplier.

The drum makes a great planter, too, after use. A joinery down the street punches holes in the bottom for me.

You could try just leaving a bowl of bicarb in the room to absorb the smells, but if it's really, really stinky scrubbing is probably the only answer.

Price's makes a candle, available on their website and also thru Lakeland, that absorbs ANYTHING. It's called a Chef's candle and is only about £3.50.
