I made a chicken, leek and mushroom pie the other night - Jus-roll pastry is free of both, and for the sauce I just put a tablespoon of flour in the frying pan when sauteeing the veg and some herbs, then after a few minutes add enough stock so it becomes a thick sauce.

Curry, still using tomatoes but adding about 1" block of creamed coconut (cheaper than buying a tin of coconut milk) so it tastes nice and creamy but doesn't add horrendous amounts of fat!

You could use peppers, courgette and red onion and saute on a low heat for ages until really mushy to make a sauce for pasta so it's a bit of a change from tomato all the time.

I add red lentils to casseroles as they add a nice creamy texture plus it's a bit of extra protein.

How about googling for vegan recipes and then adapting them to add what ever meat you would normally eat?
Risotto (no butter or parmesan of course!), cous cous, falafel in wraps, fajitas, burgers, stor fry etc. would all be suitable and no tomato sauces needed!

Can he have goats milk? Some people who cannot have cow's milk can have this.

Otherwise stir fries, baked potatoes without cheese, fish or chicken that you can breadcrumb by dipping in egg and breadcrumbs. I'm presuming he can have eggs and potato wedges, stew and dumplings (mix with water not milk). Roasts without Yorkshire pudding. Porridge made with water.

To get his calcium in I would try to get him to eat plenty of green leafy vegetables.

You could always use oat milk or cream as a substitute for dairy in creamy recipes, carbonara, pies, lasagna, soups, etc.

Thank you so much for al your ideas I will be using all of them! DD has an allergy to the protein in the milk so that includes al mammals! We are at present weaning her on to Oatly enriched milk which is going ok, eggs as far as we now are ok.
Thanks again to you all.
