What are the nicest tasting fruit teas for children??

Hi, I'd like to find a better alternative to sugary squash or artificially sweetened squash for my daughter. She likes milk and fruit juice but won't drink plain water.
It is hard to get her to drink enough and because she's on medication for a bowel problem, it's important she drinks. She is also overweight and has severe learning difficulties, so I don't want her consuming too much sugar or fat.
I've thought of fruit teas sweetened with either agar nectar, honey or stevia? This would be for her bottle she takes to school. What are the nicest tasting fruit teas in your opinion? She doesn't like sharp tastes.
Also, if you have any tips to get her used to drinking water, I'd be grateful. so far I've tried only offering water but she became de-hydrated. We've also bought a special bottle just for water. Neither of these have worked. Thanks. Smile

FYI honey contains just as much sugar as plain white sugar. I'm puzzled as to why sugar or fat would be a problem for her SEN?

Not sure about fruit tea for kids but I have seen fruit tea aimed at children in Lidl. All the fruit tea I've had is quite tannic though?

Why not try a very diluted naturally-flavoured squash like Rocks, Belvoir or Bottlegreen? This or this has more fruit juice than sugar. A tiny bit diluted in a bottle of water won't do much damage sugar-wise.

Try the berry based flavours.
eg strawberry
raspberry

These flavours may taste like squash when cool and be a more familiar taste to your dd.

Remember to let the teabag stew in the mug for a lot longer than you think, to get the full fruit flavour. Perhaps leave it until the tea is cool.
I found that if you removed the teabag to soon I got complaints of 'it tastes like hot water'

What about fizzy water? Even now I hate drinking plain water but love the fizzy stuff.

LIDL 'very berry' is wholeheartedly endorsed by DS9 Smile

DS1 likes raspberry. And although not a fruit, I've found Celestial Seasonings Sleepytime Tea quite popular with him and a few other kids in our family (camomile and spearmint and other stuff).

Littlebabypigsus- I know that honey contains just as much sugar but it is better health wise than refined sugar.
I don't want her consuming too much sugar or fat as she is overweight, not because she has learning difficulties.

Thanks everyone, I'll have a look for those drinks. Smile
