Can I use one year old goose fat??

I bought it last year, used it for roasties then put it in the back of the fridge and forgot about it. Can I use it? It looks ok! Label says discard after 6 monthes but sell by us 2015.

Not an expert, but a few years ago I cooked a goose at Christmas, and then used the fat from it for roasts for 2 years afterwards. The confit that I did was good in November the year after.

I used the last of the goose fat from last Christmas only about 2 weeks ago, yours will be fine - especially as it is used at high temperatures.
