I have quite a lot of donations as we are raising money for a good cause. There is 250 people each night and we can keep the money we make on the cake sales.
I've woken up on my only day off poorly and at the moment the room is spinning when I even sit up . I get vertigo when I'm run down . Typical .
DD will help tonight but what on earth can we cook a lot of that is easy makes lots and will sell ?
failing that what could I buy if we sell out on the irst might that I can still make a reasonable profit on ?
How much do I need to sell them at ? Some people have donated beautiful cup cakes and others a box of shortbread . we only have half an hour to sell so was thinking 50p for one cake or mince pie ect ?
Any tips very appreciated and thank you x

Chocolate krispies are easy - your dd could probably do most of it - melted chocolate, mix in cereal, plonk in cupcake cases.

Are these for adults? 50p sounds about right, you could have two prices if you want to - small cakes 30p big cakes 60p.

marshmallow kebabs, dip each one in melted chocolate, leave to harden, bung on skewers.

Big traybakes are good for cake sales. Plain sponge with glacé or butter icing and sprinkles, chocolate sponge with chocolate glacé or butter icing, lemon drizzle etc.

I hope you feel better soon.

Malteser refrigerator cake is lovely and a piece of cake Grin to make as there is no baking involved. Be sure to use butter though as it is needed to set it properly.

Hope you feel better soon

Sorry you're not well, vertigo is horrendous, I suffer, you have my sympathy. Tray cake in Tesco, cuts into about 16 pieces put them individually into bun cases. Also they sell chocolate tray bakes in tinfoil try, cut them up and put them either into bun cases or arrange on parchment paper in your own tins. Plain fairy cakes about 12 for 60p also in Tesco, melt some chocolate and stick a smarty on top! Sorry if you're sick just pretend!!!

Yes that's all you need bar the golden syrup.I dust it with a little icing sugar to finish it off.It literally costs me 19p a slice so I never begrudge making it and it's the first thing that always sells!
Are you feeling any better btw?

Fakeblondie · 11/12/2013 13:25
