Where can I buy these pots and how would you describe them?

Years ago I acquired these pots from a friend. They make the absolute best individual Yorkshire puddings ever due to the shape and terracotta material. They are about 3cm at the base opening to 6cm at the top and made of glazed terracotta.

But, I need more and I cannot find them on google anywhere. I'm sure they were not designed for yorkshires, as they look Turkish or Spanish - maybe an olive pot?

But I've searched all those kinds of terms and terracotta, ceramic etc and no joy.

Please lovely mumsnet terms, can you help identify them?

Do they have a brand/stamp/mark on the bottom? Any specific pattern or colours? Are they definitely not just a ramekin?

They look a bit Morrocan, they put me in mind of the bits and pieces for Tagines. Could have been a hand made one off though?

There's no marks on them at all sadly. Maybe something to do with a tagine, but can't find them with that search term either. No patterns, just a very simple glaze.

Outside chance they are handmade, which would make this even more tricky. They are so lovely though!

Similar i think

Theincidental · 02/12/2013 19:57

Yes, similar materials. My ones are very much deeper, about 4/5cm, which I think is they bake so nicely. The flatter ones don't seem to work as well. I put a small amount of oil in the bottom then add the mixture and the oil coats the pots as they rise so the batter is really crispy, but the inside is still soft and lovely!

Sorry, this is a really strange ramekin hunt!

Like any of these?
ramekin
dip pot
ramekin2
regard ramekins

Are any of those even close / similar?

Theincidental · 02/12/2013 20:20

Sadly not. Mine are more of an upside down cone shape. The base is like a flat disc attached to the bottom. The only thing I've found that's close To the shape is a small sundae dish, but the are much bigger in size.

Thanks for your help though. I appreciate this is a tall order.

I have one that is identical! I think my mum gave it me - they were from M and S food with some kind of dessert in them. Sorry, not particularly helpful really - would offer you ours but has scouring pads in and looks a bit skanky!
