Hot herbal teas - recommendations

Hi I'm looking for recommendations for a herbal tea that my dd can drink hot now it's getting cold. I don't like any herbal teas so I'm useless. She has tried minty ones but doesn't like them. I assume lemon and blackberry ones will taste like cold medicines. There must be some that are ok and will appeal to a 12 year old???

What about hot Ribena? My DH used to drink it as a child and my DD does now (she's 11).

I guess you could use any kind of cordial.

I still drink hot Ribena... Delicious!
Also honey and lemon with hot water.

I love Bottlegreen elderflower cordial or spiced berry cordial this time of year. Twinnings do a box of mixed tea flavours which might appeal to her :)

Fennel, Cranberry, Strawberry and Vanilla. All yum!

Peppermint tea is beautiful , and pukka branded teas are great too . I drink the Relax one in an evening , they are all caffeine free too , which is a bonus on an evening Smile

Sorry didn't read the brief properly ignore my suggestion of peppermint Blush

We've got ribena I will give it to her and see how it goes. The spiced berry cordial sounds interesting but is it an adult taste?

The spiced berry is a very Christmassy taste :)

I really love Pukka's Love tea - chamomile with rose & lavender, the rose & lavender somehow sweeten the astringency of the cammo. It's very warming and comforting

How about rooibos? It doesn't smell as nice as all the fruit infusions, but it tastes really nice (I like it with milk, like tea).

not a herbal tea as such but a nice fruity hot drink
I bought the apple and ginger one from Sainsbury on saturday. Its very refreshing. My DD 16 a little bit older than your dd also likes it.

You can buy children's tea in the Turkish stores around where i live and they seem to be infused with aniseed.

I think children's teas are quite common in other countries and foreign food stores in your area may carry some.

If you go onto the Pukka teas website you can choose 10 different teas from their range & they'll send you a teabag of each to try. You just have to pay postage which is £2 I think.
