Gluton free advice for party?

Hi,

Am having a party for my dd and one of her friends has to eat gluten free food.

Does anyone have any simple recipes to make pizza or cake that this child can eat, that I could do? Or where I could buy gluten free food from locally?

Thanks!

You can buy gluten free flour from most supermarkets these days - Doves Farm make a good one. Also make sure your baking powder is GF if you are using it.

Supermarkets also usually have a Free From aisle with gluten free cakes, etc.

Some things work better gluten free than others - recipes with little flour like chocolate brownies adapt well.

I'd ask her mum for advice if you're not sure. I'm sure she won't mind.

Dove farm flour can just be used instead of normal flour, sometimes adding a bit of extra liquid to recipe. Sainsburys sell gf pizza frozen too, an you could also buy nice choc brownies / cherry bake wells from here if you don't feel like making cake.

speak to her mum. there can be a problem with cross contamination of you make food in same kitchen as non gf food so she may prefer to bring her own. If she eats flapjacks you can do those easily and t as tastily just get gf oats from free from aisle. gf bread on whole tastes foul but fairly easy to make or buy gf pizza dough.
