Pizza here too. Or a salad.
Spag bog is easy to make when you can't be arsed, or any pasta dish really.

Gerrof yer fat behind and get yerself into the kitchen woman! That child of yours need decent food!

Northerner · 08/07/2006 17:42

When I serve him decent food he grumbles! Oven food and it's gone in 60 seconds!!

Weetabix with a banana on top for me. Those Dolmio pasta pouches with grated cheese on the top for the kids.

Rhubarb · 08/07/2006 17:42

That's because he's used to it now you see!

BAD MUMMY!

Northerner · 08/07/2006 17:43

He's not used to it - he has oven food about once a month.

And didn't you have pizza the other night?

stir fry rice...or I just tell my husbands nephew I'm not cooking today, and he does it.

Rhubarb · 08/07/2006 17:46

Nooooo, I don't post on here what I have to eat normally anyway, so go point that finger at some other pizza eating person!

I make all my pizzas from scratch dontcha know! Even the dough! Nothing but the best for my precious charges!

foundintranslation · 08/07/2006 17:50

Pasta and pesto.
Beans on toast.
Or, if it's at the 'can't even be arsed to warm something up' stage, cereal, or bread and Marmite.
ds is happy with yogurt and fruit, or bread and butter, or pasta with butter (but he is only 13 months...).

zippitippitoes · 08/07/2006 17:50

tins of beans like cannelini or flageolet with chopped tomato, cucumber, seeds, tinned tuna, sweetcorn and oil and pepper or mayo

piece of poached salmon and salad

quick chicken curry

Rhubarb · 08/07/2006 17:52

JanH made me lovely cheese toasties when I was at her house and you can fill them with other things too. You just fill the bread, butter it and fry it gently both sides. It works and it tastes lovely!

FrannyandZooey · 08/07/2006 17:53

Pizza, or pasta with pesto, or salad

(but don't you think a salad is actually very fiddly and hard work, I mean if you are washing and slicing all the bits etc?)

or tonight we are having pittas, cold veg sausages, and hummus

or sometimes we have egg chips and beans (all organic of course) but to be honest I think that is Proper Cooking because it uses 3 pans

zippitippitoes · 08/07/2006 17:53

fish finger and sald sandwicjes

Rhubarb · 08/07/2006 17:54

I make me own bread even!

expatinscotland · 08/07/2006 18:00

beans on toast

jacket potatoes

stag veggie chilli

humus or guacamole w/pita or naan bread cut into strips

cheese toasties

Rizazz rice out of a packet, mixed with mushroom, courgette/pepper and tinned mackerel. Takes about 5 minutes and we both love it.

Beauregard · 08/07/2006 23:12

That is cooking Beetle 73

puff · 08/07/2006 23:13

boiled egg sandwich

emmawill · 08/07/2006 23:15

I get my dh to cook he specialists in stirfrys. We eat salmon or chicken bunged in the health grill as its so quick and easy and some veg thrown in the steamer. Or, fray benton steak and ale pie with loads of mashed potato, peas and thick gravy thats when I also need comfort food.
