Need help to meal plan please

So - I've been looking for a website which might generate meal ideas if I input the ingredients. Unfortunately, such a website or app doesn't appear to exist.

I need to budget and need to learn to meal plan. I grew up in a house where my mother did a daily shop at M&S or Waitrose for whatever she fancied that day. Consequently, I'm crap at meal planning.

Would any kind people out there like to suggest some meal plans if I list the key ingredients that I have? I have the usual 'staples' at home - pasta, butter, flour, tinned tomatoes, rice etc etc.

These are the following meats I have in the freezer (I also have lots of veggies at home and happy for veggie ideas too). Ideally, the meal will feed three people for an evening meal, with leftovers for me to take to work the next day:

Chicken legs (think there are four in there);
Chicken quarters (two of them);
Diced beef (for slow cooking I think);
Minced beef;
Port boneless loin joint;
Beef slow roast joint;
Half leg of lamb.

We have a slow cooker at home if this helps.

Ideas please! Thank you!

Didn't want to read and not post, but am veggie so can't really help with the meats. One veggie idea is to make a vat of veggie chilli and have it with rice one day and then in tacos or burritos the next.

Bump...

Lucky Mum!

Well pretty uninspiring but I'd do a roast with the lamb, a beef stew with the diced beef and burgers with the mince. Sure somebody will be along soon with some decent ideas for the rest Smile

Pretty sure that if you go onto bcc food you can put in ingredients and it will suggest recipes, if that helps.

When I'm meal planning I try to do a roast each week and then use up the leftovers the next day. Yesterday we had roast chicken and today we've had chicken fried rice. I also try to do some veggie meals. We had veg curry last week and cirn quasiddilas are usually a big hit as is chilli made with soya mince.

I also try to give the dd at least one choice each week.

You've got enough food there for a month :)

Monday... Dice the slow roast joint, add to the diced beef and make a big beef casserole with root vegetables. Serve enough for three and then freeze the rest.

Tuesday... Something simple with pasta, tomatoes and vegetables

Wednesday... Slice the pork loin joint into six steaks and then braise with apples. Freeze the three spare ones for another day. Serve with potatoes and cook plenty of extra ones.

Thursday.... Make a thick Spanish Omelette (Frittata) with the leftover potatoes, onions peas/spinach, lots of eggs, sprinkle with cheese and finish under the grill. Serve with salad

Friday... Defrost/reheat the casserole

Saturday... Section up the chicken quarters and legs and make a big chicken curry.

Sunday... Roast the lamb and start thinking of things to do with the leftovers

Slow cook your lamb in tomatoes, harrisa and dried apricots for a tagine to be eaten with cous cous, any leftover lamb shred straight into the cous cous for tomorrow dinner.

defrost a chicken quarter and debone/skin it before chopping into chunks for a chicken pie, presuming you have flour to make pastry.

Diced beef and ale stew (slow cooked) with mash and veg (perhaps make potato cakes with leftover mash for lunch)

I would make a veg curry as four days of meat is a bit much for me, or do a chicken curry - make extra rice for egg fried /chicken fried rice tomorrow.

Mac and cheese.

Stuff pork with sage stuffing and apples serve with roast.potatoes and parsnips- and leftover meat for sandwiches tomorrow.

Tortilla, patatas bravas, and meats (if you ham, etc.) And tortilla is always good the next day too.
