Artisan cheeses

Cheese loving DH's birthday is soon and I thought I would order him a cheese selection from a posh cheese maker online.

Anyone have any recommendations of companies you've used? I did google and plenty come up but I've got no idea if they are any good.

Any recommendations, greatly received.

I've consistently got delicious cheeses from Neal's Yard Dairy in the shops themselves, but would trust their online shop as well.

I buy from these nice gentleman A LOT and they have some fantastic British cheeses, as well as excellent European cheeses. My personal favourite at present is called Sussex Scrumpy and is a cheddar-type cheese made with cider and herbs....

We got our cheese wedding cake God I love cheese from The Cheese Shed and they were great.

Neal's Yard is very good. My sister uses Forman and Field but I'm not sure if they count as artisan - they are good but I think expensive.

Are there any shops or producers near you? We get lovely local cheese from a shop near us and from the farmers' market. Worth a quick google I would say.

In Edinburgh, Mellis is the best place to go and they also sell online

We go to Neal's yard, cheese has always been great quality with amazing variety. They specialise in cheese from uk and Ireland, so if it's something European your after or a more international mix you need to look elsewhere. Paxton & Whitfield are a pretty good bet too,
