got tuna and pasta and mayonnaise? - mix with sweetcorn to make tuna pasta salad

tinned potatoes and tomatoes .. throw into egg and milk for an omelette

those are immediate thoughts

Not sure how one could use all three together without adding anything else, but...

Add eggs and onion to potato & sweetcorn to make frittata. Will eat cold cut into wedges.
Or tomatoes and sweetcorn could go in a pasta sauce.
Or serve the potatoes and corn as side dishes with fish or chicken or something.
Or just use the spuds to make a potato salad.

have you got eggs?

jellyjelly · 28/06/2006 20:28

I dont eat eggs apart from in a pancake or a cake. This is going to be my staple diet for a while i think.

do you have other ingredients? how long are you talking for .. and why just these 3 things?

you could make a layered stew kind of thing I suppose

turn the tomatoes into a garlic / basil / tomato sauce

make a white sauce and add the sweetcorn

layer with potatoes thinly slice .. finish with white sauce top with grated cheese and bake

that might work

Become a single parent and not sure what money i will have even short term so i am trying to be thrifty and see what people can come up with. Have normal storecupboard stuff but have a serious lack of imagination at the moment.

Hiya mate

Don't ask what I'm still doing up at this time!! Hope today (well, yesterday) was as nice as it possibly could be under the circumstances! Been thinking of you!

Anyway, here's a couple of threads that MAY help:

here and here

jellyjelly · 02/07/2006 11:47

thanks looney, might rob you of your cookery books if possible?

tuna pasta bake. boil pasta shapes first. put every thing in a big ovenproof dish. add some italian herbs, salt and pepper to taste. give it a stir. grated cheese on top is optional. bake at 150 - 200 degrees C for about 20 to 30 minutes.

kiskidee · 02/07/2006 12:46

you can also add or substitute peas green peppers, onions diced finely, or broccoli florets if cut up small.

in warm weather, rather than using tinned tomatoes, take mayonnaise and mix half and half with milk, pour over the lot, you can then have tuna pasta salad.

looneytune · 02/07/2006 16:59

yep, got books you can borrow, of course! need to get that bubble machine off you so you can see what i have then. having said that, if you want to look at everything I have you need to come to me as i have too many to bring round
