Help, turnips again! Any good ideas?

I've had turnips in the veg box nearly every week for months. I'm fed up with roasting them. Any ideas? Oh woe is me :) ps I would exclude them but I've already used up my exclusions on kohlrabi (aka cabbage-turnip), swede etc

This turnip, honey and roasted garlic soup recipe is one of my all-time favourites:

Mashed with butter, pepper and some caraway seeds.

Ooooh interesting, thanks both of you!

I did turnip boulangere in the same situation - thinly sliced, layered with onion and garlic, season each layer then pour stock in and bake. I have to say it was really, really good. Loved it. I had a thread, someone suggested dauphinoise too which would probably work.

Turnip dauphinoise. Much like Wilson's boulangere but with cream instead of stock.

There's a ginger root vegetable cake recipe by Dan Lepard which uses grated turnip (or swede or parsnip), you can google it. It sounds odd but it's gorgeous - think a really autumnal carrot cake crossed with parkin, covered in cream and blackberries Grin I think the turnip keeps it super moist and tender.
