LOL I have visions of Moondog hyped up on a cocktail of sugars and additives posting like a madwoman tonightGrin

misdee · 20/06/2006 10:05

you need some rainbow drops.

Mercy · 20/06/2006 10:06

Don't forget something that has a cartoon character on it. I can't do a link as it's a PDF thing but there is a Which report discussing food endorsement.

SoupDragon · 20/06/2006 10:09

Has anyone mentioned Sunny D?

moondog · 20/06/2006 10:10

I bought that once accidentally when it first came out. Blush
They put it in chiller bit even though no need.
Had it been taken on Scott's expedition it would still be fresh.

It's got oil in it!!

make sure you put your purchases in a transparent bag
then hopefully a mnetter will see you and be able to come on here saying what a terrible parent you are....

dinosaure · 20/06/2006 10:23

My DSs all love cheese, but even DS2, a heroic eater, was unable to keep up the pretence that he liked cheese strings for more than a week.

zippitippitoes · 20/06/2006 10:26

dp likes tesco barbecue chicken pizza and it smells horrible and tastes like must..so should go on your list

themoon66 · 20/06/2006 10:38

I bought Sunny Delight when it first came out and was hyped as a 'healthy drink for kids.' I'm talking about something like 10 years ago mind you. DD was at primary school and she is now at uni.... that's how long ago. There used to be all different flavours then - lime, mango, etc.

themoon66 · 20/06/2006 10:39

I bought cheeze strings when they first came out too as DD nagged the life out of me for them coz she loved the advert.

She only took them in her lunchbox once and they came back mostly uneaten. Vile things.

NotQuiteCockney · 20/06/2006 10:44

I've eaten humzingers, and yeah, they're fruit leather. They're totally fine, the same thing as raisins, pretty much.

We put them in lunches pretty often. I don't see anything wrong with them. (Ok, they should be organic, and I should give DS1 a small tupperware of dried mango etc instead. Probably i will.)

welshmum · 20/06/2006 10:44

Are you having a lovely time at home moondog? How long are you there for and are you up to anything special? There's apparently a new gastro pub near Abergele which has had good reviews - for when your experiment is over.....

Foolishly can't remember name, it was reviewed in the Guardian weekend mag a couple of weeks ago when we were home. I could find it online....

moondog · 20/06/2006 12:08

There are quite a few nice places in North Wales, believe it or not!!!!

Here it is. It was a reader recommendation

St George, Abergele, Conwy, 01745 832207

A tremendous menu that majors on seafood with intriguing accompaniments: sea bass with cod and chilli wontons, for instance, is delicious. Don't skip dessert: drunken cherry chocolate tart with anise pannacotta finishes things off beautifully. There's an imaginative wine list, and properly kept Welsh real ales, too. We were so impressed after our first visit that we returned three days later to take the sting out of the end of our holiday.
