Oatcakes - they now do little crisp packets of flavoured ones like sweet chilli or caremlised onion. Fruit - banana, strawberries, blueberries. On a bad day, a malted milk biscuit.

Any fruit (I would halve grapes) or veg (cucumber/carrot sticks, tomatoes (halve small tomatoes as they are a choking hazard)) followed by a piece of cheese.
As a special treat now and then a homemade muffin or cookie (they will love to help making it and/or decorating it).

I really depends what time lunch is going to and what time I hand out the snack. Grapes/apples/satsuma etc. if it is close to lunchtime or they are going through a not eating phase or but something more substatial (chopped up apples with peanut butter, carrot or cucumber sticks with hummus, hard boiled egg and some cherry toms, oat biscuit with butter and honey etc.) if they are going to have to wait longer for food.

I'm sure cheese and apple/tomato would be a good snack if you are blessed with children who eat cheese.

They're not at all interested in cucumber, tomatoes, hummus, celery carrot etc.

We do things like ham, cheese, strawberries, chopped apple, grapes, fruit in general really. Rice cake, a biscuit. Yoghurt, raisins.

Just trying to look for more of a variety, and more savoury too.

I can only think to add:
Shreddies (dry)
Raisin bread

PeanutPatty · 04/09/2013 19:01

Oatcakes with hummus/PB
Bananas
Rice cakes
Tend to give dried fruit after a meal as better for their teeth

savoury muffins - carrot and cheese Annabel Karmel ones are lovely! They freeze well so just make a batch and keep them in the freezer.

Eggy crumpet if they (or rather me!) is very hungry. It is exactly like eggy bread but more delicious! Perhaps if they had half each with a bit of chopped up fruit?

Crackers always go down well in this house. Dd would be very happy with just a few crackers but if you feel the need then anything like peanut/other nut butter is nice or a bit of cheese?

If you are willing to go to the effort to bake then these are good mamacook.blogspot.co.uk/2012/06/little-gold-men-or-cheese-biscuits-for.html?m=1
