so, yesterday I made some chicken goujons but I have chicken left, breadcrumbs left and some beaten eggs left. Can I use the egg today (to do the same with it)? It's had raw chicken dipped in it yesterday

Funny I was going to ask this tge other day when I did fish. I thought afterwards I should have just take half out before I started and put it in tge freezer

I take it they were really nice - if you're doing them again. Would you mind posting a link for the recipe. I would like to do give them a try.

maishoffwcingras · 31/08/2013 13:46

will do that next time loves (although I'll put it in the fridge not the freezer and use it for an omelette or something - you can't freeze raw egg can you???)

I don't know if they were nice (am veggie!) but the kids love them. Really easy you just cut chicken breast into strips (or buy mini chicken fillets), dip them in egg and coat them with breadcrumbs (if you want you can mix breadcrumbs with some oats), pop them in a frying pan to brown then put them in an oven dish in a preheated oven (about 170 - 150fan) for 15-20 minutes. Easy peasy

Sounds lovely maish Thanks.

You can freeze raw egg. Looks a bit odd defrosting but it is fine in cakes/scrambled/etc.

maishoffwcingras · 31/08/2013 13:56

you can do the same with fish but they would need less cooking time

Yes you can freeze raw egg, a nigella tip!
