I'm a bit of a cookbook collector, I love them and read them like novels. I've been given Amazon vouchers and to me that means free cookbooks.

So, for ideas as to what books to buy, i'm hoping to get some gems from you lotGrin

My current top 5 (though this changes at the drop of a hat)

  1. Nigel Slater kitchen diaries
  2. Nigella how to eat
  3. Sara Lewis slow cooker easy
  4. Rick stien coast to coast
  5. Bill grangers everyday Asian

What are.yours?

  2. Nigel Slater Kitchen Diaries
  3. River Cottage Baby and Toddler
  4. Nigella Christmas
  5. Elizabeth David Classics

I have over 3000 cookbooks so love this thread. (They're on my pinterest page under my MN name if anybody wants more suggestions of what to buy)

My go to books are-

Nigella Lawson How To Eat / Feast/ How to be a Domestic Goddess

Nigel Slater - Fruit and Veg books/ Kitchen Diaries 1 and 2

Rebecca Rather- The Pastry Queen

Sue Lawrences Book of Baking

Diana Kennedy- Mexican cooking

Juniors Cookbook

David Thompson - Thai Food

James Villas Southern Cooking / My Mothers Southern Kitchen

Fuschia Dunlop's Sharks Fin & Sichuan Pepper/ Every grain of Rice

Paul Prudhomme - Chef Paul's Louisiana Kitchen

I'm sorry but i cannot narrow it down more but I guess if i had to choose just one I'd take Nigel Slater's fruit/veg or Kitchen Diaries but if it was an island near the Far East I'd take Fuschia or David Thompson!

Schmalex it's both a brilliant cook book and a really interesting read.

And worth the cover price for the lamb shwarma alone.

Nigella Lawson - How to Eat
Rose Prince - Kitchenella
