How do you eat those long curly sausages? Chirizo maybe, or salami?

I normally buy sliced chirizo for cooking but can you buy those long curly things and just slice bits off and eat?

I want nice bread, some pate to spread on it, different cheeses and chutney tonight. Can I chuck a curly sausage on the side to slice and eat with it?

Some of the curly ones need to be cooked, so be careful what you buy/have. I use them in stews, casseroles, paella etc. and would only usually eat the sliced ones with bread and olives etc.

I eat it sliced off the counter to go in a crusty roll for lunches. If I buy a curly one it gets cut into chunks for stews etc...or I just fry it and bung it with some olives and stuff. Need to stop doing this.

The ones you chop up normally need cooking, I usually put it in risotto

I've often wondered that too - we're talking about the cured meats that are not stored in the fridge? I assumed they don't need cooking but that's a guess.
