Getting tooled up for once-a-month cooking

Where would one buy - for example - a pot big enough to boil my head in? I can report that it is not available at the disappointing ASDA so-called 'hypermarket' - that had 3 whole aisles of kitchenwares- and nothing bigger than 15L...

Or a griddle pan that can span three burners and cook 16 drop scones at once?

....

And should I use disposable foil containers? Or quadruple my stock of dishes? Or do clever things with turning out frozen lasagnas and wrapping in cling film? Or ziplock bags?

Is a COSTCO membership pre-requisite?

I've got two pans you can boil a head in and sometimes I use them both at once.

I've six lasagne dishes all the same. They are cheap hotel style ones.

I sue ziplock bage, 1 litre ones, from Costco.

I use those plastic ikea owls for single potions.

I've just bought a pressure cooker- fab for getting a lot done in one day- did beef stew, tomato and lentil soup and chicken curry in one morning.

Savoy - where did you buy them? I expected Asda to be better stocked - next stop wd be an Asian grocer or COSTCO.

I have bought big stockpots in TKMaxx. Not sure of the litreage though.

I have sometimes used a preserving pan (ie a big jam-making pan) as a huge saucepan, for boiling a big piece of gammon for instance. It's not ideal because it's lidless and I had to improvise with foil as a loose lid, but it is very big.

See above! I have just discovered this photo-adding facility!

Some of the plastic take away style containers are great for bolognese/chilli as can be microwaved.
Foil only good for lasagne/ shepherds pie etc that go in the oven.

I got a stack at Costco really cheaply.
