Freezing home-made lasagne?

Just that.

Can you freeze home-made lasagne? And if so, at what point do you need to freeze it? Before it's gone in the oven at all, or after it's been in the oven?

Thanks.

Yes you can. You can freeze before or after cooking. It is one of the most freezer friendly pre-made meals around.

I've done both and get slightly better results if I cook first. The raw pasta sort of soaks up the sauce IYSWIM. But both work.

Sorry to gate crash but does it need defrosting before reheating?

We do it all the time, it tastes nicer after being frozen! We cook it, then freeze it, then defrost and heat it.

I cook mine first, but I don't freeze it if the meat in it has already been frozen then defrosted.

Yeh i cook it and then cut it into portions and freeze it. Make sure you use fresh mince though and not frozen

I freeze when cooked, however you need to make sure its put together and goes straight in the oven while the mince is still hot (which you have cooked on the hob). This avoids the meat being reheated twice, I.e before freezing with the pasta etc in the oven and then when reheating from the freezer.
