Salmon - no-smell way to cook fillets?

Can anyone tell me how to cook salmon fillets fairly quickly without stinking the house out? I always grill them and the smell lingers and lingers.
Thanks

Put them in a pan of boiling water or milk. Switch off the heat immediately and leave them there until they are cooked (ie poach them) End up much moister than grilling or pan frying. You can add herbs etc to the water too.

Or wrap in foil with lemon and butter and put in the oven on a lowish heat until cooked.

Make sure is wild salmon or you risk growing another head

I put mine in individual loose tin foil parcels and bake in oven. Very tasty and not too smelly at all. Cooks in about 20 mins.

I also put mine in foil, with a splash of white wine, pepper and a bayleaf. 15-20 mins and it tastes wonderful with very little smell.

I cut up carrots/courgettes/mushrooms put in a roasting tin with oil, garlic, herbs etc, put the salmon on the top (season however you like), cover with foil and shove the whole lot in the oven for 20-30mins at around 160 (fan oven). One pot meal with no fussing about.

One thing I do with salmon is drizzle maple syrup on the top, and coat with lots of ground pepper & a little salt. Then, like kayleigh, I bake it for 20 minutes (but no tin foil parcels, just as is). Somehow the smell of browning maple syrup seems to preempt that of the salmon.

that sounds nice Soupy, i've just bought some ready prepared med. veg. that would do the trick i reckon.

I always do my salmon in a foil envelope - Jamie Oliver style. I then put the rest of the flavours in to the envelope - herbs, wine, butter, etc. - and seal and cook for about 20 minutes, at 200 degrees
