My mixer has broken, what shall I buy?

I have owned a small handheld Kenwood mixer for about 20 years. It has finally given up but I do more baking now and am wondering if I should get a proper one with a bowl.

Can't run to a Kitchen Aid and as I've had perfectly good results with a cheap mixer I am reluctant to spend much more than £100.

Shall I just get another hand held or are there better, reasonably priced, options?

I was in the same position as you earlier this month and bought an argos value one for £5.50 - it works but isn't great and lacks power. However the cake I made the other day was ok. There are lots around the £20 mark that I think will be better.

Maybe I'll just get the equivalent Kenwood again then, thanks!

If you can stretch to a Kenwood Prospero, they're pretty good value for money. There's a whole thread on the here called Wood Pussies.

Marking place.

My mum is willing to buy me one n return for buns/cake all the time.

Don't want it to be really expensive just something worth the money
